Arrival at the airport, welcome of the guests from our representative. As arrival is early in the morning we will grasp this opportunity to get acquainted to Athens city by starting our city tour and sightseeing. Departing from the airport our fist stop as we reach the city center will be the Panathinaiko Stadium where the 1st modern Olympic Games took place in 1896 (short stop). Tour will pass by the Prime Minister’s residence, Ex Royal Palace guarded by the colorful Evzones and after to Zappion (Conference and Exhibition Hall).  Proceed to Temple of Olympian Zeus. Tour will continue to pass by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Schliemann’s House (Nomismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Academy, University, National Library, Old Parliament, Constitution Square, Russian Orthodox Church. After that we will visit the famous and astonishing hill of Acropolis. Visit the famous monuments of Propylae, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion and of course the masterpiece of ancient Greek architecture, the Parthenon. Then we will go by foot on the new Acropolis Museum. Transfer to the hotel for check in and some rest. Free afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Athens.

After an early breakfast, you will enjoy a day trip to Delphi. The journey will start as we drive through the fertile plain of Beotia, crossing the towns of Thebes connected with the tragedy of King Oedipus – Levadia and Arachova (short stop on the way back). Arrive at Delphi, the center of Ancient World – the “Omphalos” (Navel of Earth) – whose prestige extended far beyond the boundaries of the Hellenic World. On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum containing such masterpieces of Ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias. Lunch in the modern village of Delphi, return to Athens late in the afternoon by the same route. You have the night free to spend as you may wish.

After enjoying an early breakfast we will leave by the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea, (short stop). Drive to Mycenae, the Homeric city of Atreides, the city “rich in gold” of the ancient poets. Visit the Lion’s Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, and the Royal Tombs e.t.c. Depart for Nafplion through the fertile plain of Argolis, the picturesque town nestling at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress (short photo stop), leave for Epidauros, to visit the Theatre (4th century B.C.) famous for its astonishing acoustics. Return to Athens by the National road connecting Epidauros with Corinth. Lunch in Mycenae. We will return late in the afternoon. As tonight is your last night in Greece, live it up in style.

Free morning to do your last walk for shopping in the capital and check out. Transfer to the airport and departure.
